Alexander Sharkov comes from a Circus Family originating in Tallinn, Estonia.

For 25yrs his parents were Artists-Acrobats working in Circus's around the world,

from America to Egypt, Australia, Israel & all around Europe. Since he was a child,

he always wanted to follow the family tradition. Travelling all the time with his parents.

He started to practice alone. His parents saw his dedication and decided to train

him and his brother. His mother taught him stage presence and movement through

ballet. His father, Acrobatics, Intensive, Physical strenght. In the year 1988

an act was born, "Sharkov Brothers". An original acrobatic act with his brother.

"Sharkov Brothers" premiered in Tel Aviv, Israel, along side their parents. In the next years

leading up to 2000 Alexander and his brother performed the act in the most famous

varietes, circus's, TV productions and shows of the world. Some of these being

Friedrichstadt Palast - Berlin, Wintergarten Variety - Berlin, Circus Knie - Switzerland,

Circus Roncalli - Germany, Winning Awards, Silver Medal - Festival Mondial Du Cirque

de Demain - Paris, Special Prize - International Circus Festival of Monte Carlo, Bronze Medal

- Genue - Italy.

Suddenly in the year 2000 Alexander's brother decided to leave with the intention of

continueing "Sharkov Brothers" with another partner. He tried many partners but couldn't

find the same quality, he and Alexander shared.

Given a taste of the performing world and holding the stage with his brother, Alexander

didn't give up. In 2001 Alexander once again went into intensive training and stretching,

giving credence to the saying "down but not out!" And the Alexander Sharkov of today

was born. Alexander created & developed alone his own Hand-Stand balancing act. Using

everything what his parents had taught him and what he had learned in his years of training,

he brought to life an act magical to watch. Classical in it's design, full of feeling and grace.

A mixture of flexibility and 100% body knowledge, he incorporates many different

elements of Hand-Stand, Acrobatics and contortion, unique to the world of Artist- Acrobats.

Since then he has never looked back, now bigger and better. Alexander Sharkov has performed through out the world, re-visiting the world famous varietes, Cicrus's, TV Productions, that he and his brother performed in, "Alexander Sharkov" has now added many more to the list.

This hard work and dedication have given him a very successful act which he and his family
